What can I wear a burgundy-red velvet long skirt with?

A: The possibilities are endless. One thing that I would keep in mind though, is that velvet is a dressy fabric. I would pick a top that is just as dressy. And since the velvet skirt is full length, I would choose to pair it with a short top. If the top doesn't end at the waist, then tuck it in instead of leaving it out. Think of a waist length satin cross-over tied blouse. In white, or gold, or silver or black. Every colour would give a slightly different look. Or a lace fitted shirt/blouse. Again different colours would inspire slightly different looks. Or even a waist length angora sweater. It would give a more casual look, but be dressy as well. White, pink, red, black.

A: That depends on what job you are applying for. I have interviewed a lot of applicants myself and I am impressed with those wearing neatly pressed, smart-looking office attire...matching pants and blazer with a plain-colored dress shirt underneath, 2-inch heels, and hair neatly swept in a bun.

for a goth Halloween costume should it be a long skirt or short sexy dress?

Q: I want to be in character for my Goth Halloween costume but I don’t know if a long black skirt or a short sexy dress would be better. Short sexy dress-- a black nit inch wide strap dress, I will pin the hem up with a skull pin so a purple underlay will show. It will also have a dark purple shawl with sleeves, sleeves r bordered w/ black beads. Will also where a carter, and some fishnet cloves. Long black skirt-- nit or velvet skirt that will have a bustle of sorts (a small round hoop, that when tied right around the waist will look like a bustle) a sleeveless silk shirt w/ the purple shawl. I also have a wig hafe purple and black that I will were with what ever I decide on. Any ideas will be very helpful.

A: Goth's traditionally wear long. But I think the short one sounds cute, so just pick the one you like best.

Is April 4th too late to wear a black velvet long skirt?

Q: It will be to a Friday evening wedding and I am the Stepmother of the Bride. I am located in Ohio where the temp could be in the 30's or the 60's! With the 18 inches of snow still outside my window I'm more inclined to think it'll be cooler than warmer.

A: There is nothing wrong with wearing black to a wedding! My bridesmaid wore black; I think it can look classy too! However, I think in your case, its more the material of the skirt that invokes a more winter feel, the velvet is probably more of a winter theme so I would go something a little different here :)

What are your opinions on Gothic Lolita and Classic Goth?

A: Classic goths will be death rockers and post punkers. Victorian And Renaissance fashion goths are the ones you are talking about. I myself adore the Victorian Gothic fashion, but I like Visual Kei much better than the Gothic Lolitas. Victorian fashion looks so good in black.
