Are long broomstick skirts still in style for fall 2006?

Q: I recently bought a long tiered chocolate brown broomstick skirt and am wondering if it is out of fashion or is it still in. If it is still in what kind of top would go well with it?

A: im afraid not.. i hope you saved your reciept though.. it could pass for a random vintage/hippie look though.. throw on an old teeshirt with it and let down your hair and it could look okay.. but for wearing to a fancy place.. keep it in the closet

A: i think so..but im not postive. get a magazine like cosmo or somethin that is doing a special on spring fashions.

I have a chocolate brown eyelet tiered long skirt. Will a yellow eyelet jacket go with it? Sweater is ecru.?

Q: The jacket is a buttercup yellow, not a neon yellow. It is a Quacker Factory Jeanne jacket and is beautiful but don't know how it would look with a chocolate brown eyelet skirt. Thanks.

Q: has anyone noticed that long skirts are no longer in stores? i love long, comfy, flowy, tiered skirts. i have a great one from old navy and regret not getting it in more colors. the only thing i have seen that is even remotely close to the style is from qvc. has anyone seen them around? not a really "full" skirt, just sort of straight or slightly a-line past the knee.

A: If you're wearing quite a fancy skirt (as tiered ones often are, often being patterned as well) you need to keep the top half simple. A vest top in a co-ordinating colour would be lovely, pair it with some chunky bangles and flat, maybe jewelled sandals, both of which you can get anywhere at the moment, in loads of styles. If you get chilly choose a thin-knit, cardigan. A cropped one, even like a sort of shrug or bolero, would look lovely. Don't wear one that goes past your hips, however, keep it simple.
